Getting started

Do I need an account?
You can open public lists and unlisted links without signing in. An account is required to create lists, save recommendations, and manage your own collection.
What can I put in a list?
Favstir supports places, media, products, recipes, links, and notes. A standard list can mix item types, so one list can hold whatever belongs together for you.
What is the Weekly Planner format?
Weekly Planner is a date-aware list format organized from Sunday through Saturday. It is useful for tasks, meal plans, family schedules, and anything you want arranged by day.
Privacy and visibility
Who can see a list and what each setting means.
What does Private mean?
A private list is visible only to your account. It is not searchable and cannot be opened through a public or unlisted share link unless you change its visibility or share an item through an available sharing flow.
Can I change a list's visibility later?
Yes. Open the list actions menu, choose Edit list, and update the visibility setting. Changes apply to the list without requiring you to recreate it.

Saving and organizing

What happens when I save something shared with me?
It is added to your Saved area so you can return to it later. Saving does not change or take ownership of the original person's list.
Can I drag lists and items into my own order?
Yes. Choose Manual from the Sort menu, then drag the card itself to a new position. Favstir saves the order in the background without requiring a page reload.
What happens when I clear shared items from view?
Clearing an item from your shared view removes it from your workspace, but it does not delete the original list or item from the owner's account.
