Overview
Favstir helps you save and organize places, notes, and recommendations into lists you can access later and share when you choose. Your privacy matters to us. Favstir is a Dezolve Labs company.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in, we collect account data such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Profile image (if provided by your sign-in provider)
Content You Create
We store the content you choose to create on Favstir, including:
- Lists and list titles
- Items (places, notes, links, and similar content)
- Tags and ordering preferences
Technical and Usage Information
We may collect technical and usage information such as:
- Browser type
- Device information
- Approximate location (derived from IP)
- Page activity needed to operate, secure, and improve the service
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Favstir uses cookies and local storage to support sign-in, app functionality, and consent choices.
Consent Cookie
When you choose analytics preferences, we store your choice as cookie_consent (accepted or declined) using first-party storage (cookie and local storage) so your preference is remembered.
Analytics and Measurement
If analytics consent is accepted, Favstir uses:
- Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage analytics tags
- Google Analytics (GA4) to measure usage and product performance
- Microsoft Clarity for session replay and behavioral analytics
If analytics consent is declined, we keep analytics/ad storage in denied mode.
Clarity Custom Identifiers and Tags
When analytics consent is accepted and you are signed in, we send Clarity identifiers and tags to help us understand recordings in support and debugging workflows.
These can include:
- Internal user ID (used as the Clarity custom identifier)
- Name, first name, and last name (derived from your account name)
- Email address
- Auth state tags (for example, signed in or signed out)
This helps us tie recordings to the right account context in Clarity.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain Favstir
- Sync your lists across devices
- Enable sharing when you choose to share a list
- Improve reliability, performance, and usability
- Analyze aggregate usage trends and diagnose issues
We do not sell your personal data.
Sharing and Visibility
- Lists are private by default
- You control when and how a list is shared
- Anyone with a shared link can view that list
- Saved items remain private to your account
Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information using industry-standard practices. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Your Choices
You may:
- Edit or delete your lists and items at any time
- Permanently delete your Favstir account and associated content from Profile in the mobile app
- Stop using Favstir at any time
- Update cookie/analytics consent preferences in the cookie banner
- Contact us to request deletion of your account and data
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Favstir evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the date above.
